Do they run true to size?

Our shoes are designed to fit true to size. However, we recognize that every foot is unique and that each of our shoe styles are made with different materials and construction methods, resulting in a distinctive fit and feel for each one.  For example, our classic Promenade styles have a leather base that provides a snug fit around the foot, while our Sport Knit shoes are constructed with a lightweight, knitted mesh upper for a more dynamic fit.  With our diverse range of styles, you'll find the perfect fit for your individual needs and preferences.

Are they waterproof?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that any of our shoes are waterproof as we cannot ensure complete protection against water intrusion.  We are well aware of the importance of protecting our customers from nature's elements, which is why we are actively seeking solutions to ensure that our shoes can guard against any wet condition in our future shoe lines.

I wear an orthotic that raises my heel, so I normally need to try them on and see if it raises my heel up too much to where it slips out. Either of these better than the other for that? 

When using orthotics with our shoes, we highly recommend removing the included insoles.  Keeping the insoles in place along with using your orthotic can significantly elevate the position of your foot, thereby impacting the overall fit of the shoe.

What is the best whole for  plantar fasciitis?

The Knit shoes would be the best choice, due to their thicker midsole stack heights, esp in the heel.  Additionally, they have a molded sock liner insole for improved fit around the heel and arch over the standard die-cut insole. With all this being said, feet are different, and depending on the severity of the P.F., one should consult with their doctor/specialist for treatment and recommendations.

Do the footbeds come out to facilitate an orthotic?

Absolutely, our insoles are designed to be easily removable, which allows our customers to customize their shoe fit to their liking, including accommodating orthotics.
